Our 200 year old House is very interesting because it was built onto the 16th century Chateau de Brousson as a 'gentlemans residence' (Maison de Maitre) and our stone terrace, where we share our meals during the Summer is part of the remains of the 11th century Abbey de Joncels, with its' very special ambiance. Below at garden level is a vaulted cave which has now been restored for wine and food degustations and parties. The old wine tanks are still a feature in the garden. There are stategically placed deckchairs and you are encouraged to rest awhile, maybe with a glass of local wine.
The House is well proportioned and the 5 bedrooms on the second floor are tastefully and comfortably furnished, all with their own bathrooms (bath and wc).
We also have a lounge and library with lots of local information on what to do and where to go.
We pride ourselves on our dinners, prepared by prior arrangement (28€ per head) We are passionate about our food and wine using only fresh, local ingredients which produce wonderful flavours. We are spoilt by the availability and abundance of the foods available from our markets and local producters. We serve jugs of local wine with your meal of 4 courses but have an amazing collection of some of the best wines of the region should you wish to purchase some to drink here or take home with you. |
