The River Cesse runs through Bize and is dammed in the summer months to provide a pool and beaches enjoyed by both locals and holiday makers. From the house it is easy walking up into the hills, play petangue, go riding or cycling along the Canal du Midi, where boats may be hired. There are three restaurants and a cafe bar close by and other excellent restaurants within short driving distances. On Friday evenings enjoy a dozen oysters with a glass of beer or wine at a local cafe. |

Lovely Mediterraen beaches are forty minutes away, the Pyrennes and Carmargue areas all within easy distance. Visit the " Cite of Carcassone" and the spectacular mountain top Cathar Castles. being in the largest wine producing area in the world, calling into the many Chateau for wine tasting is always a pleasurable experience. For foodies a visit to Les Halles indoor market in Narbonne is a must. For those who like to shop, Perpignan, Beziers and the white stone and marble city of Montpellier are not to be missed. For the more active, wind and kite surfing on the beaches, river canoeing, golf, horse riding and cycling are all available. |

Numero Sept is a Maison de Maitre with a warm and friendly atmosphere situated in arguably one of the prettiest villages in the Aude. We have four bedrooms, three en-suite double and a twin-bedded room. At the rear of the property is a large sunny secluded courtyard garden, perfect for relaxation or an aperitif before strolling out to one of the three restaurants in the village. It is a favourite place to serve breakfast in the summer months when we also put up a large plunge pool, perfect for cooling off. As well as restaurants, the village has a cafe, general store, boulangerie and pharmacy.
