Hello all! My husband and I live in California and own an Argles-s-Mer home which we rent out to vacationers here and there to help pay its mortgage. We'd originally bought it in 2006 planning a move there then, but we are finally going to make the move to France for good this year! We have 2 young daughters (4 and 7 years old) who (the main motive of moving to France) we are excited to have in the local public schools there and soon be speaking more French than us. Once the tourists are out of our house (by Sept likely) we may live in our house there. We are still determining our flights, we'll need a very economical place to live FROM AROUNG LATE JULY-SEPT. To make life more complicated we have our very docile and sweet (but quite large) long-haired german shepherd, Olivia, with us (slight chance we won't bring her right away) so we'd need to find a very inexpensive (no frills needed!) place that would accept her along with our 2 girls and us. ANYONE happen to know any place needing house/pet sitters or perhaps a studio/small apartment or small cottage or house with reasonable rent? We are also very experienced pet minders and house sitters ( http://www.weservepets.com is our business). We could trade for services or reduced rent. We are not needing luxe, just somewhere to lay our heads until our holiday renters are out). Could be in areas surrounding Argeles, too (village, coast or countryside ok). Also, if it is perhaps a place that is vacant in the off season, we will likely be needing it other times when we get requests for renters in our village home a week here or there, so there's a good chance we'd be great frequent help/renters. Any ideas, recommendations you may have for our temporary apartment/house hunt is very appreciated! Looking forward to joining you all soon in person! Beth
