Merger of Credit Agricole du Midi and Credit Agricole du Gard into
Credit Agricole du Languedoc
This is an URGENT message for all who have bank accounts with Credit Agricole du Languedoc.
As you will have been informed directly the merger of Credit Agricole du Midi and Credit Agricole du Gard into Credit Agricole du Languedoc took place on 1st May 2007. However you may not have noticed that the branch codes shown on the top of your bank statement might have changed. This in turn affects the International Bank Account Number (IBAN).
If you check your Relevé d’Identité Bancaire after 1st May, there probably will have been a change. Should you wish to pay someone in this region on line who has a Credit Agricole du Languedoc bank account, their Code établissement, their Code guichet and their Clé RIB may have changed. The IBAN and also their BIC swift Bank Identification Code will have been changed Please check that you have the correct details before you try to make a payment.
The information that is on the Relevé d’Identité Bancaire is also essential for the suppliers of goods and services where payment is made by Direct Debit. It is a suggestion that you should check with those companies where you pay by Direct Debit that they have your new details correct in their systems as some requests for payment could get bounced if the people at Credit Agricole have not informed them of the changes.
For those people who wish to transfer money from outside France to their Credit Agricole du Languedoc bank account the same applies as it is essential to tell the paying bank the full IBAN and BIC swift Bank Identification Code. _________________ www.FrenchHelpServices.com
