Montpellier, cosmopolitan university city and the region's capital, is a short bus ride away. The apartment overlooks the marina and is ideally placed for all local amenities, including the beach. Carnon Port is a traditional French resort, pedestrianised and residential. It is well-maintained with fountains and palm trees in the traditional style of the South of France. Carnon is only 7 minutes from Montpellier Airport. It is especially lively in the summer season; a carousel is put up and there is free entertainment in the evenings. The tourist office, library, post office, supermarket, boulangerie, wine cave and the twice-weekly market are all located within a short walk. The beach and marina are about ten minutes' walk away. There are also plenty of waterside restaurants including a pizzeria. It would be quite feasible to holiday here without needing a car; there is a bus to Montpellier, which is well served by public transport, with it's excellent tram system, as well as the little tourist train. Montpellier is a modern city, a year round destination, with it's roots in a strong cultural heritage; there are many museums, cafes and festivals. The town boasts the Western world's oldest medical school and it has two international universities. 7th & 18th Century mansions are located down narrow streets, as well as a famous botanical garden,Le Jardin des Plantes, which was created during the reign of Henry 1V. The beaches of La Grand Motte and Palavas are 20 minutes away. It is also a pleasure to simply stroll around the marina and resort and watch the locals playing boules in the afternoons under the pine trees, or to enjoy an open air concert on a warm summer evening. The Languedoc-Roussillon region, where the Pyrénées Mountains plunge into the Mediterranean, has come into its own with a sparkling group of new yacht-port resorts. The miles of fine sandy beaches are full of sun-filled charm and this wine growing region enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year. Local activities for the more energetic include tennis, golf, horse riding, cycling, fishing, watersports and hiking.

The accommodation is on the 5th. floor, it has lift access and comprises an open plan living area including a newly refurbished kitchen, living/dining area, three bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and bath. There is a separate toilet.
