At a very short distance from Nimes and its TGV railway station (3hrs to Paris), the A9 motorway and Nimes, Montpellier and Marseille Airports.

It contains a 1975 built 75m2 house with a living/kitchen, bedroom, work room, bathroom, cellar, terrace, store room and fire wood storage ( the house itself is isolated), and an anno 1878 29m2 Mazet (inside measurements 17m2) with toilet and sink and 2 ft stone walls (ideal for guests). 24.99 m2 could be added to the house without a building licence.

Both houses have an open fire place and a wide view, also of the nearby Castle.

The main house is connected to the sewerage system and has electricity and water, the Mazet has water and improvised electricity.

It is ideal for someone who enjoys peace and who wants space for e.g. horses or a small golf course, but who does not want to be lost in the bush.

It has complete privacy and is off the main road, with a 70 metre lane leading towards the main house. Presently the plans of the Commune are not to issue any further building licences nearby for the next 25 years.

The terrain does not flood and is partly planted with fruit trees.

It is situated between vineyards and fruit orchards, at 13 mins walk from the centre of Nages, the nearby village.

Nages is a farmers village with a minimum of infrastructure, a bakery, grocery, bar and restaurant, barber, post office and Marie. There is a small weekly market. For more extensive weekly shopping there are 3 big supermarkets at 2-5 kms and the Sunday Calvisson market at 3 kms and many weekly markets within 15 kms.

Recently a number of artists have settled in Nages, and above it, on the hill, is an “Opidium”.

Calvisson has a secondary school (College).

Nearby natural attractions are the Massif Central, the Camargue and the Mediterranian, all at less than 30mns drive, the river Gardon (Pont du Gard – on the 5 € note, kayaking), and hundreds of kms of fishing. Hunting is popular and wild boar still roam about. Skiing can be done at 115 kms at Prat-Peyrot.
