I am travelling to the Langedoc region at the end of May 2009. I am trying to find info on wine festivals/tastings. Any suggestions?
I am also still deciding on a home base for 7 days in Languedoc. I was thinking Marseillan or Pezenas. Any suggestions?
Does anyone have any information on le printemps dans les vignes 2009? The websites and links for the event are unsuccessful. |

| For lovers of organic wine, Languedoc's very first organic wine event (the first that is open to the public - as opposed to Millesime Bio, which is a trade show) is being held on Saturday March 28 2009 at Domaine de la Prose in Pignan (Herault). Called Vinotaure, it runs from 10 am - 6pm and features 35 wine producers from across France, including 24 from Languedoc-Roussillon (of France's 22 regions, Languedoc has the largest number of organic winemakers). Entrance is 7 euros (with free Spiegelau tasting glass), there is an organic buffet lunch, a special "diner-vigneron" supper, workshops, free parking... promises to be a good day out! www.domainedelaprose.com or call 06 72 89 55 89 |

| For those of you based in Languedoc-Roussillon, the latest issue (March/April/May 2009) of Terre de Vins magazine has a very good listings section that details the best wine events being held in the region this spring. Available from newstands for 6 euros, it's in French (naturally) but the listings are easy to read. www.terredevins.com |
