Flights to Avignon - from the UK, Ireland and continental Europe

Flights to Avignon don't amount to much at the moment, except for one flight with FlyBe to Southampton of all places.

However, Avignon is well placed on major motorways to mae it a good place to enter Languedoc. Nimes is only about 30 minutes away, and Montpellier 1 hour. A TGV train station in Avignon means you can fly here, and then take the train to any of Languedoc's coastal cities quite easily.

Avignon Airport

Avignon airport

Avignon Airport is called the 'Aéroport de Châteaublanc' and is situated 10km south east of the city. It's small (and so very easy to get through) and has 300 parking spaces. Strangely, there doesn't seem to be any public transport linking the airport and city.
