Ales property

Ales property - houses and apartments for sale in Ales

Property in Ales

Looking for property for sale in Ales, France? CLICK HERE to view all the Ales property currently listed on our website.

Ales hasn't the best reputation amongst Languedoc's cities. Think of it as a tiny Birmingham of the south. The city is not particularly attractive and is still relatively poor.

If you're looking for property for sale in the area around Ales, however, there are some really superb areas and villages to choose from. This is almost mountain country, the foothills of the Cevennes lie just to the north - and a few small ski resorts are only a couple hours drive away. Most of the villages to the north and east of Ales are very pleasant

The countryside here is gorgeous, quite dramatic and green with plunging river gorges (the gorge of the Vis river is particularly spectacular - especially at Cirque de Navacelles). Don't forget that if you're looking for property in mountainous areas near Ales, gardens can be much steeper - and some houses may not have mains drainage.

Over to the east lies Uzes, as beautiful as Ales is ugly, with high property prices to match. But property in or near Ales itself is still very reasonably priced - with village houses, modern villas and 'maisons de maitres' all being sold for just under the Languedoc average.

Should you not find property for sale in or near Ales that you're looking for, we recommend you contact one of the estate agents registered on our website - who might be able to show you something that meets your needs.
